When calling Greece from abroad, dial 0030, the area code and the telephone number. All numbers have 10 digits, comprised of the area code and number 2 added at the beginning of the area code. Always use the area code, even for local numbers. How to make National calls in Greece
To a fixed phone:
Dial the Area code and telephone number e.g. To Athens: 210 - xxxxxxx
To another Greek GSM mobile network
All numbers have 10 digits except where specified.
Dial the Network code and telephone number:
690 - WIND Hellas mobile
693 - WIND Hellas mobile
694 - Vodafone Hellas
695 - Vodafone Hellas
697 - Cosmote mobile
698 - Cosmote mobile
699 - WIND Hellas mobile (taken over from Q-Telecom mobile, currently new 699 numbers are given only to new "Q-card" prepaid subscribers).
How to make International calls from Greece.
To a land line:
Dial the International Access code, the country code, miss the first digit of the area code and then the telephone number.
e.g. To England (Guildford): +44 - 1483 - xxxxxxx
To a mobile phone:
Dial the International Access code, the country code, the network code and the telephone number.
e.g. To a mobile phone in England: +44-7932-xxxxxx
