One of the best beaches on the island, where Caretta caretta (loggerhead turtle) can be spoted. A steep road leads to low cliffs and a beautiful crescent of golden sand. Watersports are not available on the bay, as it is a protected area from the National Marine Park. One of the highlights is the view to Marathonisi Island on a clear day, which is splendid. There is little here except for a couple of traditional tavernas nearby. Walking alongside the beach, you will find a place where pieces of hookah come out of the big rocks. Eventhough it is good for the skin, it is not supposed to be collectible due to the protection sustainability of the area. Access to Gerakas beach can be done by the local coach network , by feet, by car or motorbike. It is not accessible for people with disabilities, as the route is rough.
